What Will You Learn?

Teachers learn how to create engaging videos and edit videos for use in their classrooms. It’s free software that is easy to learn but can grow as the user’s capabilities grow. The self-paced program includes a wide variety of instructor-created tutorials that assist learners of any experience level. No prior video editing experience is required.

Educators who complete the Video Editing for All Teachers course learn how to identify the hardware and software used in producing video, how to use video to enhance classroom instruction, and how to develop skills in using different techniques to maximize a video’s instructional effectiveness. They will apply video editing techniques, including cutting video, editing sound, incorporating still images, transitions, animations, annotations and effects.

At the end of this video editing for teachers course, students produce an original video for their classrooms that includes most of the major elements covered in the video course.

The professional development Video Editing for All Teachers course is self-paced. Fresno Pacific University offers students the ability to enroll at any time and have up to one year from the date of registration to complete all assignments. Modules within the course include:
