This course explores various periods in the history of Los Angeles. Experts will discuss Mission San Gabriel, Southwest Indians, the Southwest Museum, George C. Page Museum and the La Brea Tar Pits, and El Pueblo De Los Angeles. Biographical information on significant people in the history of Los Angeles will be used to teach the idea of exploring history through biographies. During this course you will learn through watching a variety of videos, reading a historical text, participating in technology assignments, and collaborating through writing. All information and assignments will provide you with ideas to utilize in your classroom. The text book is included in the course.

This course is applicable towards the California History Certificate.
