Based on Teach Like Finland: 33 Simple Strategies for Joyful Classrooms by Timothy Walker, educators move beyond theory and into real classroom application. The course explores trust-based teaching, reduced homework, frequent breaks, and strong classroom community, helping teachers create more balanced learning experiences that support both students and teachers.

What Will You Learn? 

The Teach Like Finland: Book Application course covers a variety of topics raised in Walker’s popular book. Teachers who complete the course will know how to:

• Evaluate their own practice of bringing a sense of well-being into the classroom.
• Develop strategies to enhance unity and a sense of belonging for students.
• Design opportunities to increase student autonomy and responsibility.
• Describe and develop systems for increasing intentionality and motivation for student mastery of national and state standards.

Students can enroll in the Teach Like Finland courses at any time and take up to one year from the registration date to complete all assignments. Modules within the course include:
