It can be used to lessen aches and pains, increase flexibility and range of motion, improve performance, and accelerate recovery. In this course, students will learn what foam rolling is designed to do and how to perform it safely and correctly. Participants will learn how to perform foam rolling techniques for the entire body. Course assignments encourage students to integrate specific Society of Health and Physical Educators (SHAPE) National Standards for K-12 Physical Education. Basic understanding of the science of foam rolling is also addressed.
