Technology-Infused Standards

One major takeaway from this course that I can apply to my instructional practice is the importance of intentionally embedding the ISTE Standards for Students into everyday learning experiences rather than treating them as an “add-on.” I realized how powerful it is when students learn digital citizenship, creative communication, and problem-solving skills through meaningful tasks that are already part of the curriculum. This course helped me see how even young elementary students can use technology to think critically, collaborate with peers, and demonstrate learning in new, engaging ways.

With it being 2025, this class should be mandatory for all teachers to take. It was informative and insightful and made me realize I was missing a whole realm of standards that I can so easily address. The class was engaging and the assignments were meaningful and can be implemented into my classroom immediately.
