Loved, loved this course. I now have a better understanding of how to interact, teach, and accept those with disabilities, and made me a better teacher, person, and friend.

This course provided a new insight into living among individuals with special needs. Everybody has a story to tell and a passion to share. The required text was manageable and the instructor was very responsive.

This is an informative course that would benefit anyone, especially those working with students with special needs. The text is 'Adam, God's Beloved,' by Henri Nouwen Some of the assignments focus on reading the book, writing responses and an essay. There are also research assignments on misconceptions, perspectives, etiquette, journal responses, interviewing colleagues, reading and writing etc. I feel I learned some valuable information from this course.
