I enjoyed getting to delve into two novels that I had not previously read. I enjoyed learning strategies for thinking about and teaching American novels. I just wish that there were more active peer-to-peer engagement.

The choice of course materials was excellent, and the application students are asked to do is worthwhile and valuable to studying the subject in question. I appreciated the ability to choose from a variety of ways to demonstrate what I had learned, and felt that the learning tasks were productive and engaging.

I truly loved doing this coursework. I enjoyed reading these wonderful novels, as well as analyzing the literature and reading them as an adult. The modules were well-organized, meaningful and rigorous, and the professor is supportive and always available in case I needed help. I will be taking more courses using Fresno Pacific!

This course was stimulating and introduced me to two novels that are pillars in American literature. Reading the secondary sources also shed a lot of light into my understanding of the characters and authors.
