This course helped me see Pinterest as more than just a place to collect ideas. It can be a meaningful tool in the classroom. Before this course, I had not used Pinterest with students, but now I have a better understanding of how it can support learning. I learned that Pinterest helps students build thinking skills like recognizing important details, sorting information, and reflecting on what they learn. These skills are part of the cognitive structures we studied, and they really help students make sense of what they’re learning. The most valuable lesson for me was about giving students more control. When they organize and label content in their own way, it helps them think more deeply. I want to bring more of this into my teaching, especially when we focus on reading and writing skills like character analysis or theme. My favorite assignment was designing a lesson plan that uses Pinterest. It helped me connect everything from the course and gave me something I can really use with my students next year.

The course was informative, but some rubrics were a bit vague on what was expected. Overall I would recommend the course though!

This course was fantastic! I learned a lot of new ways to incorporate Pinterst into the classroom that I didn't think of before. All of the assignments made great connections between research and application. Very nicely presented and easy to follow too.

Great course! I enjoyed reading about cognitive structures and learning about how Pinterest can be used to help develop these structures.
