iPads in the Classroom

I was disappointed that the course seemed a little outdated. There were a lot of materials dealing with ipod touch and apps that do not exist anymore. I did learn some techniques for searching for apps though. I was able to walk away with several new ideas of apps to use for teaching and every day life.

The course did not use the Canvas platform in a productive way. Students do not submit ANY assignments until they had completed the ENTIRE course. Therefore, students receive ZERO feedback as they complete the course. In fact, they must email the completed assignments to the professor at the end of the course rather than submitting anything on Canvas. Given that this is a technology course, this course lacks the use of the technology provided by FPU.

I love the self pace of all of these classes. This year has been a tough one and I kept having things in life get in the way of completing this course and even starting it.
