I had an excellent experience taking this course. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because some links/materials were defunct and at times, assignment materials were so overwhelming it was difficult to know what materials to study to complete assignments without viewing/reading everything. Additionally, though the course acknowledged the difficulties of creating assignments when our district has restricted sharing on our accounts, I often had to spend extensive time figuring out work-arounds that would allow me to share assignments. It would have been helpful to have tutorials to simplify this process. Overall, I thought I knew many of these Google applications, but this course challenged me in unexpected ways and helped me learn how to take my classroom integration of Google tools, apps, and extensions to the next level. Great course!

I highly recommend this course. I found this course to be extremely helpful and informative; all of the materials were easy to follow. I really enjoyed taking this course. I got to dive into the Google Tools more than I have before. The hardest challenge for me during this course was the lesson plans. I am a speech-language pathologist so I don't make a lot of lesson plans and I don't really know our CCSS a lot yet as I am fairly new. Even though that assignment was difficult it came out really rewarding because when I completed the activities with my students they absolutely loved it. Increasing my knowledge in Google and the tools that it offers is only going to improve my skills in being an educator and a colleague. There were a lot of tools that I shared with my co-workers in order to make resources that will improve our students generalization of skills (aka. Google Sites). I am very pleased with what I learned in this class.

I enjoyed taking this course. Professor Linda Jacobsen is friendly and provides quick feedback to assignments posted. The course content/work load was a little overwhelming for me, but I believe it is because I had little to minimal experience with Google extensions and tools. Before this course, I had never used Google Earth or many of the other Google tools introduced. At least now, I have some understanding of how they function and I can successfully teach my students how to utilize them.

I thought this course was great and very useful at this time in education. I have just 2 small complaints. 1. When I take courses that assume all applications are useful to all disciplines I get annoyed. I wish, when the app is obviously more useful to certain disciplines, that there could be choices for teachers. (i.e. SS/Eng./FL vs. Math/Sci./Tech.) 2. Module 6, was confusing as to how much had to be done at the end of the class. Besides that, I really enjoyed the class, learned a lot and recommended it to colleagues.

Good class. A lot of detailed work and steps to follow, but I learned tons, too. So many things that I never knew Google had that can, truly, make life easier. There were a lot of "ohhh, that's what that does" moments. You will get out of this class what you put into this class. My suggestion to future students taking this: Take your time, read carefully, and use the links provided to help. I am glad I took the course and kept an open mind; it was a beneficial use of time and I look forward to using and tweaking materials in the fall. Thank you for sharing resources.

Even though this class required the most amount of work I've ever done for a Fresno class, I learned a tremendous amount. The assignments involved actual usage of the application being taught which allowed the opportunity for complete comprehension. The forums were a bit repetitive and I felt that they could of been change a little. All in all, I recommend this course.

This was the most difficult class I have ever taken. However; I don't believe anyone who took this class has learned as much as I have learned. Most people today have been using computers and technology all of their lives. I am a Mennonite and I do not even own a computer or cell phone. Everything was new to me. I am now teaching virtual and needed learn as much as I could.

It was as great course and specifically met my needs for going into a school with 1:1 Chromebooks. Professor Warkentin was very prompt in responding whenever I contacted him and I learned a lot by both his videos and reading the comments of other students. The assignments were well thought-out and very appropriate for the content. My only suggestion for improvement is to update the material. I'm sure this is a huge feat since Google is changing almost in real time! All around, it was a great class and I learned a ton.

Overall the course informed me a lot about Google. I would say that most of it can be applied to educators directly in the classroom on all levels. I'm most looking forward to pursuing more of Google Sites and maybe Blogger. I think this course has challenged me to consider more of how I can incorporate technology into my classroom but also for my students. I had a brief grading turn around time issue but my instructor ironed that out. I think he had good communications and a well structured course format. I think the course had a balanced amount of challenging and easier paced workload. I'd recommend the course to all teachers that don't consider themselves advanced in Google.

I learned a lot, but gave it 4 becauseI felt like there were a lot of assumptions about prior google knowledge, or comprehension. It took me quite a while to "get" what I was supposed to do, and I feel like it would have been more helpful to have process flow charts or relational drawings for those of us who learn visually. It was hard for me to connect everything. BUT, I do leave this course with a LOT of gained insights, so Thank you, Ed!!! You were awesome at responding to my questions and very helpful!

My recommendation for this course would depend upon your reasons for taking it. If you hope to maximize your tuition dollar by learning a lot per dollar spent, then I encourage you to take this course. If your goal is to learn something while moving across columns in a timely manner to advance your income, then think twice before registering for this course. I spent a lot of time and did more work for this course than any previous professional development course. ALL Things Google could be divided up and two or more courses could be created.

A lot of the things I learned were things I was already doing with other resources, through other sites. It was frustrating at times to learn to do something over again in a different way when I was already successful in the way I've been doing it. However, I did learn a number of new things which made the course worthwhile.

I knew how to use many of the Google tools covered in this course before taking it, but the course really forced me to stretch my knowledge and understanding of how to use many of the tools for teaching purposes. I highly recommend this class to people who don't have much tech experience with Google products. And for people who feel like they know a thing or two about Google products already, it's a great course to learn new tricks and dig deeper into the offered services.

I worked harder than I thought I would for this class but I learned tons. It was very useful for me as a teacher who is trying to include technology in my classroom as much as possible. Some of the apps were outdated though and need to be updated. I understand things are moving very quickly. Overall, I am very glad I took this class.

Class was very helpful. I learned a lot. There is so much more to Google than the average person would know about. The final how to assignments were a little bit redundent, as they just made you do the original assignments over again in a different format. Communication was slow at times, had to email the instructor several times to remind about assignments that had been turned in for grading. Overall I would recommend this class to others!

Fabulous course! Relevant, excellent resources and readings, interesting activities, competent and tech-savvy instructor. I will recommend this course to colleagues who are interested in continuing their understanding of the new initiatives in the educational field of information and communication technology. One hope regarding this course - that the weight in points (towards the final grade) shifts more based on the experience of using these important online tools, rather than towards final products. Perhaps requiring a lesson plan and a short screencast of each tool, before moving on to the next tool will keep the enrolled students from feeling stressed out at the end - because there is so much to learn and to explore about all these tools. I enjoyed learning how to use Jing as a screencast tool (for the final product) but that experience took a large amount of time- for me - to feel comfortable in using this tool. Screencasting could become its own separate course, which I would probably enroll in if available. Thank you for offering this course that opened up my educational experience and more importantly, my classroom, to the engaging and useful Google tools!

I enjoyed the last assignment the most - designing assignments for my college courses using Google tools. I am very excited to use many of them next semester. This was so far the course I had the most trouble with - it seemed that instructor expectation is focused on K-12, while instruction for college students does differ in significant ways.

I enjoyed finding out all about the various tools and features of Google. However, the instructor did not follow his rubrics and took points off of assignments based on his opinion and what he had found worked in his classroom! (We all know as teachers that one thing may work for someone and a completely different approach may work for another!!) I would have appreciated the instructor take into account the subject area and grade level that I taught. Elementary, junior high and senior high are quite different!

Whenever I had questions the professor got back to me quickly. The syllabus was very easy to follow and all the assignments were well explained. The time the professor took in organizing the course made for a smooth completion of the course. I enjoyed the course and the feedback was helpful. I would take another class this professor offers.
