Interactive Boards
The course, Interactive Boards, is designed for any teacher, technology coordinator, principal, or librarian working with an interactive board or monitor. Students will learn different aspects of how interactive boards affect learning and become proficient in the basic skills needed to navigate the devices. Through the process of completing the required assignments the participants will develop strategies for using their interactive board in their curriculum.
The course will provide participants with a set of directions for their device. From this, they will develop meaningful lessons centered on student needs that also meet subject matter standards and framework requirements using their interactive board. Participants will then create their own unit of study with accompanying lesson plans based on their local, state, and national standards. Finally, students will be using the Internet to do research on their device. This course is appropriate for all grade levels. Access to students is not required to complete this course.
This course is applicable towards the Technology Skills for Educators Certificate.
