This class provided a valuable overview of how to participate effectively in and lead collaborative educational teams serving students with exceptional needs. I strengthened my understanding of the roles of teachers, paraeducators, administrators, related service providers, students, families, and peers. The course also helped me develop practical teaching, communication, leadership, confidentiality, and personal-safety skills. Overall, it reinforced the importance of teamwork, clearly defined responsibilities, respectful communication, and shared decision-making in supporting student success.
