Improving Fluency with Number Talks

I would recommend this class to early elementary teachers. I was concerned with the text stating grades 3-10 but it was applicable to my first grade classroom! Would take again. Manageable, easy to implement right away, and went well with my PD for AVID this year, COP Math Discourse. I started this class mid year and am excited to begin this year with this practice!

Absolutely loved this class! The professor gave an abundance of resources with the ability to share more resources and reasons behind why the resources are so quality! Loved this class!

Great course! Excellent selection of readings and videos. Many great resources were shared that I will definitely use in the future with students and share with colleagues. The instructor was delightful to communicate with and always responded in a timely manner. I highly recommend the course.

This course was great to take. It was very informative about how to give number talks in your classroom. I was able to take away many ideas and strategies back to my classroom. The instructor was very positive and gave great feedback in a timely manner.

This was a great course! I learned a lot of new math strategies I was not aware of. Many of which I wish I new in my earlier adolescence. It was well designed and easy to follow. Expectations were clear and the instructor always responded really quickly with helpful answers.

This course was very beneficial in providing ideas for implementing number talks in my classroom to enhance my math instruction. The discussion forums helped to connect and share ideas with educators from all over the country and the assignments helped me to reflect on and summarize my learning.
