This course was amazing for all teachers that teach Algebra. The course provides you with a plethora of resources that can be easily printed and used in your classroom the next day. I love that the resources are made to foster engagement and get students thinking about math in an open-minded way. I will definitely be utilizing the resources that I have gathered in this course and using them in my other classes that I teach!

So many strategies and activities to engage students. I loved using number talks, guess-and-check, and error analysis tasks to build flexible thinking and deeper understanding. The course focused on creating a student-centered classroom, connecting conceptual understanding to procedural fluency, and making algebra meaningful through real-world contexts. It reenergized my teaching and gave me new ways to help all learners succeed.

I appreciated the variety of new/engaging resources offered in MAT-921. It was great to join a community of like-minded algebra teachers. In my biased opinion, Algebra 1 is one of the most difficult courses to teach, and 9th grade students enter into the course with a wide range of math skills/abilities. Thank you!
