This was a great course! I learned a lot about the use of a manipulative with multiplication and division and how it applies to the new Common Core Standards. This class can benefit teachers ranging from 3rd through 5th grade.

The course was more than I imagined. I have a wealth of information to work with. Even though I am finished with the course, I am looking to use many more of the activities and pages included in it. I have new activities and ways to assess their abilities, thanks to this course. It reminded me how important hands-on, real-world applications are for the learner. I enjoyed it, and I’m looking to send pages and ideas over to the fourth grade classes.

Thank you for your wonderful activities and games in this course. Both my students and I have found each and every one beneficial for our learning and teaching needs. They truly met the content I needed to cover in summer school and met the standards that needed to be addressed. They were all motivating, engaging, and hands-on which really helped the struggling students this summer.

I needed a variety of strategies for teaching multi. and div. concepts- this course provided that. Students enjoyed te activities that involved any type of manipulatives, especially the dominoes, dice, and geoboards. This course reinforced in me the need to keep math as "concrete" as long as possible. Doing this sets the basis for more abstract thinking. I plan on using my multiplication sequence of instruction this coming fall with students. Great class!

This class was much more than I expected it to be. It made me see my grade level and the skills needed to be successful at this level in a whole new light. Ms Gossett set up the course to be beneficial to even a middle school level teacher. The activities in this course will be able to be use at more than just a 2-4th grade level. These activites will now be a staple in my lesson plans for years to come. Thank you!

I enrolled in this course because I am currently teaching a class of 6th graders, functioning at 2nd to 4th grade math levels. I was seeking new materials and teaching strategies.
