It was wonderful to feel like a literature student again. The course instructor was helpful and responded to my emails immediately, and the materials where easy to access and follow. I especially liked the unit outline plan assignment, as it is something I may use one day. I very much enjoyed not having to make any discussion board posts as well. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

The choice of course materials was excellent, and the application students are asked to do is worthwhile and valuable to studying the subject in question. I appreciated the ability to choose from a variety of ways to demonstrate what I had learned, and felt that the learning tasks were productive and engaging.

I appreciated that this course was self-paced and included much student-choice. It was also helpful that it was so practical, and it was wonderful that I was essentially preparing a future unit while also gaining CEU credits. There was one section of the course where it was difficult to determine whether students were to read two or four articles to complete the course. Reviewing the directions under the "Secondary Readings" and "Completing the Course" to ensure they are the same and clear would be helpful for future students.

The syllables and detailed assignments for this course were set up in a way that was easy to follow and complete. The novel selection was impeccable and I feel that I gained so much out of the assignments; in particular, the literature response assignments gave me a new lens to focus my reading to analyze and better evaluate the novels I chose. The professor did an outstanding job of communicating and left no questions unanswered. I thought the course was well thought out. It forced me to focus on the particular elements that I would utilize later as someone who will be teaching the novels. I especially liked the section on looking at literary criticisms on the novels. I will be doing this with the novels that I already teach to gain new insights.

THE COURSE HAD AN EXCELLENT FORMAT WITH APPLICABLE AND USEFUL ASSIGNMENTS. THE LIST OF NOVELS ALLOWED ME THE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE NOVELS THAT WERE ON MY CORE LIST IN MY SCHOOL DISTRICT. THE INSTRUCTOR WAS PROMPT IN RETURNING CORRESPONDENCE WITH E-MAILED QUESTIONS. I AM TAKING ANOTHER CLASS WITH HER BECAUSE OF THIS.
