What is the Health Relationship Course?

Building strong, respectful connections is an essential life skill. The Healthy Relationships course explores how teachers can help students build that skill by fostering emotional awareness, communication and conflict resolution among students. Educators who take this course learn the skills needed to teach students about the essentials of healthy relationships, including mutual respect, trust, honest communication, self-awareness and shared goals.

Designed for educators at all grade levels, this course offers practical tools and strategies to support healthy relationship education in a school setting. Participants learn to model positive interactions and guide students through difficult social dynamics, as well as teach them how to avoid destructive relationships. The course focuses on supporting educators in creating successful conflict resolution strategies in the classroom. Through self-reflection and engaging activities, educators also develop a deeper understanding of how to create an environment where all students can thrive.

What Will You Learn?

The Healthy Relationships professional development course covers a variety of topics that strengthen an educator’s ability to help students build relationship skills in the classroom. Teachers who complete the course earn PD credits and learn to:

  • Demonstrate strategies to improve or maintain healthy relationships.
  • Develop a lesson plan or workshop that focuses on strategies to promote healthy relationships.
