I genuinely really enjoyed this course because it gave me the chance to be creative and design engaging lessons that I’m actually excited to use in my classroom. It helped reignite my passion for creating meaningful, thoughtful activities that align with the content I’m already teaching. While a few of the assignments felt a bit repetitive at times, I’m ultimately really glad I completed them because now I have a set of ready-to-use plans that fit right into my existing units. The lessons I created will serve as great enrichment opportunities for both advanced readers and those who may need more support. I love that picture books can be so versatile and accessible for all learners, and this course really helped me see their full potential.

Picture?Book?Power was a gem. I could fit it into my packed week and still stay energized. Every module sparked ideas for using picture books to deepen comprehension and spark richer discussions in my class. I’m leaving with a toolbox of engaging strategies that make literacy feel vibrant and accessible for every student.

I have been taking a lot of classes these past couple of years, and this was by far my favorite. The book that the course is based on is extremely practical and easy to read. The information was relevant both for my personal life, as a grandma to young children, and my professional life where I work with homeschooling families.
