Excellent class! It was practical, immediately useful, just the right level of challenging, and Prof. Warmerdam graded everything within a day or two and gave meaningful feedback.

Close?Reading?Strategies quickly became a standout. It flexed around my schedule yet pushed my thinking. The signposts, anchor questions, and modeled lessons showed me concrete ways to guide students beyond surface level comprehension. I left ready to turn any text into a deeper, livelier discussion.

Great class! I loved learning about the signposts for close reading and will 100% use this strategies with my students in the future. :) I appreciated having the flexible time schedule to work at my own pace and on my own schedule. I also appreciate the practical assignments of lesson plans and lists of resources that I know I will use!

This course was really helpful to me! I love the way it was organized. The text was practical and offered helpful tips ready to implement immediately. I appreciated how responsive the professor was to my emails and questions. It was really helpful to be able to manage completion around my schedule of working full-time and raising four children. It was a great experience that I highly recommend to anyone in my position. I will be back the next time I need units for my job.

Moving forward, I'll use signposts more intentionally, incorporating visual aids and encouraging personal connections to the text. This will help students track their thinking and make the reading experience more meaningful. Overall, I feel better equipped to create engaging and impactful reading experiences for my students using these strategies.

I only received one email and it was automated from the time I registered to completing the course. In previous courses, I received a bit more communication and check in.
