I thought there was good content in the course. I felt that some parts of the book Teaching Poetry in High School were outdated, as the book has a copyright of 1999. I really struggle with the poetic terms lesson plan; this wasn't addressed very much in the book and I could not figure out how to do this lesson for a really long time.

The class was very insightful and helpful for my practice. I finished the course with a bunch of new resources ready to be implemented to my classroom. The assignments were challenging, but fair and feedback was timely.

Prof Warmerdam has constructed a thought-provoking, enriching class. I was taking this course to get reinvigorated for poetry and it has worked. I wouldn't change anything. I will use my textbook and the course inspired me to buy to works of poetry to get me started!
