This eight-module online course on teaching developmental reading skills through hands-on learning and games was exceptional. Each module offered practical, research-based strategies to support readers at various stages of development. The use of interactive games and hands-on activities made the learning process both effective and enjoyable, providing teachers with tools to keep students engaged while strengthening key reading skills like phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Mary Bennett was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, offering clear explanations, real classroom examples, and thoughtful feedback.

I thoroughly enjoyed this course! I love reading, but this course helped me see some things differently and how to use them in my class. I had to "think outside the box." I learned so many things--better understanding of Science of Reading, implementing new ideas into my classroom, helping my kiddos not only to read but understand what they read. I was glad that I could do this course at my own pace. I did not have to complete the modules in order. I could take my time to complete the sections that required more work. I liked that I knew what I needed to accomplish and complete it in pieces as I had the time.
