The course was useful in content, and I enjoyed the two books required for the class. Some of the assignments were too long and a little repetitive.

This class came at a perfect time as my position changed. Kids are in a world now where there are so many distractions and fears with covid and safety, it was a good reminder about the need to keep the classroom safe and secure. The tool bag of things to implement when a student is going through trauma or flashbacks is very valuable. I particularly like the two pages that Craig lists things to do by Administrators and teachers can do to help. With a recent marriage and life issues, this class was amazing and I know will be used for many years.

This course was excellent for me because I knew very little about trauma, and I truly have a heart to work with students who have suffered from trauma. The books were great, the assignments challenging and applicable. As I head in to the new school year, I feel like I am better prepared as a teacher to give grace and understanding and better prepared to collaborate with my students.

I thought this was a great course with great information. I thought that the professor did a great job of giving meaningful feedback. The only issue I have is that writing papers is good for learning, but I still feel that test have value to the learning experience. Writing reflections all the time almost makes you feel like you are teaching yourself.
