This course had a lot to offer! I loved the variety of ways that the professor taught us the content: articles, videos, textbook, posters, etc. Plus, we had multiple opportunities to demonstrate our learning in various ways.

Really well-planned course with modules that all built off each other. I loved the use of thinking strategies that we had to use to apply knowledge learned. I would recommend this to all teachers and wish something like this was part of every teacher-certification program.

This course was an incredibly valuable learning experience. It deepened my understanding of how to shift the focus from simply delivering content to helping students actively process, reflect on, and communicate their thinking. I especially appreciated learning about specific thinking routines that can be immediately applied in the classroom to support deeper engagement and critical thinking. The course did a great job of modeling the routines it taught, which made it easier to visualize how they would work with students—especially in early elementary settings like second grade. I came away with practical tools like "See-Think-Wonder," "Think-Pair-Share," and "I Used to Think… Now I Think…" that I feel confident using right away. What stood out most was the emphasis on building a classroom culture where thinking is visible, valued, and shared. I now feel more equipped to create opportunities for my students to make their thinking public, learn from each other, and take more ownership of their learning. I would highly recommend this course to any educator looking to make learning more student-centered, reflective, and engaging.

I loved this course! Professor Reimer created situations where you actually use the Thinking Routines to learn about them. I enjoyed time spent interacting with others on the Forum. This helped me validate my thinking, and internalize my learning. Highly recommend.
