I had a great experience with this course. It took me out of my comfort zone. I loved researching, sharing ideas, resources, and strategies with other,s which will be essential as I continue to grow and refine my practice. Going forward, I would like to expand on what I’ve learned by creating games and interactive activities not only for math, but also for reading and the other subjects I teach. Overall, this course has reignited my excitement for teaching and given me practical, realistic tools I can continue to build on in my classroom.

EDU-902: Curriculum Games for the Primary Grades was amazing and engaging course. The activities were fun and easy to apply directly in the classroom, making it simple to utilize both digital and traditional games with students. The professor was very responsive, and all assignments were manageable. I allowed myself one week per module and I was done in three months. This course is definitely worth taking, especially for active teachers who want to learn how to intentionally use games, including digital tools, to strengthen curriculum goals and student outcomes.

This course exposed me to various new classroom games, some virtual, some not. I was able to reflect on how I have used games in the past and how I can continue to build on those in the future. I appreciated how the assignments always had you think about how a game could be adapted for various learners and subjects.

This course has been a truly valuable and engaging experience. Curriculum Games for the Primary Grades opened my eyes to the many creative and effective ways games can be used to enhance instruction and student learning. I appreciated how the course balanced practical, ready-to-use ideas with opportunities to reflect on how games can align with academic standards and support a range of learners. It reminded me that games are not just for fun or filling time—they can be powerful instructional tools that encourage collaboration, critical thinking, and active engagement. One of the most positive aspects of this course was how it encouraged me to experiment and bring games into my teaching right away. I enjoyed testing out activities with students, exploring both digital and hands-on options, and even allowing students to take part in creating their own games. The strategies I’ve gained from this course will definitely carry over into my daily lesson planning, particularly in literacy and math. I now feel more confident in using games not just as a supplement, but as an essential part of my classroom routines. Overall, I highly recommend this course to any educator looking to make learning more meaningful, interactive, and fun for their primary students.

This course about curriculum games for primary grades taught me that learning through play is one of the most effective ways to engage young learners. Games not only make lessons more enjoyable but also help students grasp and retain concepts more easily by promoting active participation, collaboration, teamwork and problem-solving skills. Although I implement digital and physical games in all content areas, I learned new games to explore that could be aligned into daily instruction to better support diverse learning needs and styles.
