This was my final course to take in order to earn my "Teaching Art in the Classroom" certificate-- and the most challenging! I truly enjoy Rob Carey as an instructor and would highly recommend any of his courses. I am much more prepared and confident to teach art to my students.

I really enjoyed this class and learned so many new skills from it. I especially enjoyed learning about how my "brain" works and am excited to use the knowledge in my future teaching.

I would recommend this course because it puts the power of drawing right into your hands, which is essential in an artist's journey. For those who have no prior experience, this course is a great way to walk through the Betty Edwards book, classically used in many art universities.

I would recommend this course because it changes lives. It offers an opportunity to fully embrace the whole brain. Something that seemed impossible becomes possible. You will be forever changed.

I have been drawing all my life, but I have never read about, or thought about, right and left side brain function. I feel like I sometimes fall into the habits of symbolic drawing, and this course reaffirmed the value of actually LOOKING and breaking down what I see into shapes, values, etc. I teach drawing courses, and I am definitely going to implement some of the lessons that I learned here. Great course, thank you Professor Carey!!!!

This was a great course that did wonders for my drawing skills! I improved, as promised! The course had many new-to-me methods of practicing drawing. All together they really helped. Also, the directions in the book offered many suggestions and hints for creating better drawings. Additionally, the instructor was very involved and helped with questions and offered encouraging comments. Loved the class. My hint: remember to take three pictures of your drawings as they progress.
