My experience with this course has been incredibly transformative, particularly in how it reframed my perspective on AI's role in education. For me, the most valuable takeaway was exploring the profound shift from passive learning to active creation. This course beautifully illustrates how AI can move students away from simply "hearing" or consuming information toward actively "doing"—becoming critical evaluators, simulators, and creators who use AI as a true thinking partner.Seeing concrete applications—like utilizing character simulations to deepen textual analysis in the humanities, or leveraging variable-driven simulations in STEM—made the theory feel highly actionable. It helped me realize that as AI handles more rote processes, the role of the teacher beautifully evolves into that of a mentor, facilitator, and human anchor for ethical reflection.I absolutely believe this course would be highly beneficial for other educators. AI is no longer a future concept; it is an active classroom reality. This course provides the exact strategic roadmap and ethical framework teachers need to move past initial skepticism and confidently design student-centered, AI-augmented learning experiences.

Professor Andrew Herrick was outstanding! Lightning fast turnaround on grades and wonderful feedback. The best part about this course is that I can integrate the majority of these practices with AI directly into my classroom. Professor Herrick allows for choice projects in each unit which is a great way to keep busy teachers and coaches engaged!
