My Career Advancement Account (MYCAA) Courses for Military Spouses
Fresno Pacific University is pleased to partner with Condensed Curriculum International (CCI) to bring MyCAA approved training programs to spouses of military servicemembers. Use your My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) scholarship to earn a license, prepare for a certification or train for a new career. No matter your goal, Fresno offers a pathway of online instruction to make you a valuable employee, no matter where the military leads you.
So Many Career Training Options
Your future is wide open to train online for a career working with adults, children, numbers, computers or equipment. Choosing your program does not have to be difficult. Consider taking a career assessment, job shadow a friend, or talk to a career counselor. Use your network and seek guidance. Your family and friends know you and may be able to offer advice.
Navigate through the library of MyCAA approved career training programs offered through FPU. Once you have your funding worked out with the military, simply enroll in a course online.

Online Courses are Taught using one of two formats
Online courses are offered either in an instructor-facilitated format or eLearning format. Both offer important benefits including externship and certification opportunities so you can get hands-on training from experts in the field. 24/7 coursework and IT support are available. Instructor-Facilitated Online Courses

Are you eligible for the MyCAA Scholarship?
Spouses of service members on active duty in pay grades E-1 to E-5, W-1 to W-2, and O-1 to O-2 who have successfully completed high school and can request tuition assistance while their military sponsor is on Title 10 military orders are eligible. Spouses married to members of the National Guard and reserves in these same pay grades are eligible. The program does not include Coast Guard spouses.
How to Navigate Your MyCAA Benefit
Spouses of military services members can take advantage of up to $4,000 of MyCAA funds over 2 years to train for a career. As an approved MyCAA school, Fresno Pacific University equips you with job skills that can be transferred no matter where you are stationed.
While you are exploring the many career training programs offered through Fresno Pacific University and before you enroll in a course, it is important to visit the My Career Advancement Account Scholarship website and set up your account and spouse profile to determine your military eligibility. Military spouses enrolled in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) are eligible for a Department of Defense Self-Service (DS) logon account. All MyCAA scholarship participants are required to use their DS Logon to access their accounts.
Please keep in mind not to complete your course enrollment (pay for a course) until you have completed two steps:- Worked through the MyCAA / military approval process. Eligible spouses will be allowed to create their career and training plan and request financial assistance at least 30 days prior to the course start dates.
- Contact CCI to ensure your eligibility to use your MyCAA scholarship funds. Your learner support rep will guide your through the application and financial assistance process.
FPU offers professional development courses for k-14 teachers
If you are a K-14 teacher and want to take graduate-level professional development courses, Fresno Pacific University specializes in online PD for educators! While not MyCAA eligible, the 1-3 unit (credit) courses help teachers master classroom management, learn about technology and bring new life to lesson plans. With up to one year to finish a topic, any military spouse can find the time to complete a course.
