Workforce Training Courses

Fresno Pacific University Continuing Education

Fresno Pacific University is accredited by the Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and colleges and authorized to offer coursework through the Office of Continuing Education. The Continuing Education courses serve a distinct audience consisting of practicing professionals, or those wishing to enter the workforce. Continuing Education seeks to integrate theory and practice through innovative strategies and to encourage professionals in informed reflection on values that inspire the highest standards of professional and ethical behavior in the pursuit of excellence in their chosen field, in order to bring transformation to society.

Policy Statement: 50 Series - Pre-baccalaureate University Credit Courses

The Fresno Pacific University Office of Continuing Education offers workforce training courses that are primarily designed for students who are seeking professional training. These courses are pre-baccalaureate, professional development units that are not part of a degree program, but are designed in collaboration with industries to meet specific workforce development needs.

The FPU transcript legend reads as follows for Lifelong Learning courses:

Course Number: 50-99

Course Category: Pre-baccalaureate university credit courses of a preparatory, remedial, or semiprofessional nature. Not applicable to degree requirements 

Enrollment

Enrollment in Professional Education or Workforce Training courses, for which Fresno Pacific University Continuing Education units are offered is possible at any time. Students must register online to obtain access to the courses offered by Condensed Curriculum. Students will have up to 6 months to complete the course.

Refunds

Once a registration is processed, no refund will be issued.

Grades

A grade of Credit/No Credit (CR or NC) will be issued for all coursework. Credit is equivalent to a B grade or better. Letter grades are not issued.

Transcripts

Official Transcripts may be obtained from the Registrar's Office of Fresno Pacific University AFTER a computerized grade report is received from the CE Office. Login/create an account on our CE website at ce.fresno.edu; click on My Account, then on Order Transcripts.
