Dr. Jeanne Janzen
I serve at Fresno Pacific University where I am the Program Director for our master's in Curriculum & Instruction. My doctorate is in Instructional Technology, Ed.D. and scholarly interests include: differentiation for student success, using technology to enhance the teaching and learning experience, the neuroscience of learning, and diffusion of innovation/change theory. Teaching at Fresno Pacific provides the unique opportunity to not only teach content, but to integrate faith with my discipline. Conversations with students can include sharing who Christ is in my life and why I view teaching as a calling... a vocation that can make a difference in the lives of students.
Professional Experience: Serve as the FPU Institution of Higher Education Liaison to Regional Beginning Teacher Support & Assessment Advisory; 130 hours of in-service and training for technology regarding PT3 Grant resulting in Professional Level Technology Certification; CLAD (Crosscultural, Language and Academic Development) Credential, including Language Acquisition & Issues in Language & Literacy, 1999 to present; Central Valley CUE (Computer Using Educators) Conference: Innovations in Education, fall 2007
Personal Experience: As the wife of our former volleyball coach, it’s been a privilege to be a part of the student athlete’s lives as well. Getting to travel with the team and cheer them on at Nationals has been an incredible experience. We have had several international young ladies on the team each year and it is always an amazing, enriching experience to learn to know them and to see the dedication they have to the team and to earning their Bachelor’s degree in a language which is not their primary one. I can’t imagine accomplishing the same feat in China, Brazil, or Slovakia!

Favorite Activities: Some of my favorite past-times include doing Sudoku, puzzles, reading, horseback riding and swimming.
