It seems I am a teacher in my soul, as a young girl I played school with neighborhood friends (and I was the teacher of course). I began teaching dance in High School and then college as I was a dance major…but then switched my major to Psychology. I wanted to reach our students who are in need both academically and emotionally. As a school counselor I had many opportunities to reach our students, empower them with a "you can do this" attitude and prepare them for life…My goal as an Adjunct instructor is to once again empower and encourage but this time to teachers and administrators, which in turn will help their students reach their goals through positive discipline.

Professional Experience: K-12 School Counselor, Fresno City College, Clovis Community College and Fresno Pacific University Adjunct Instructor. I was also the Director of Merced Campus for FPU.

Personal Experience: I am a teacher, blogger, public speaker and active in my church. I have been on our governing board of the church, taught Sunday School, was a Superintendent of our Sunday School, began a children's choir and a member of our Ladies church guild (ACW). I have also participated in the performing arts group of seniors "New Wrinkles" where I sang and danced with others 55-years and older.

Scholarly Interests: How brain development, ages and stages along with their development affects their academic success and behavioral dispositions.
