Participants will spend the day at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo exploring scientific inquiry and interpretation techniques that will bring science to life in fun hands-on way for their students. The session will focus on turning a field trip day into a rich opportunity for learning that coordinates with Next Generation Science Standards and classroom targets. This program is taught by our Fresno Chaffee Zoo Conservation Education and Interpretation experts. Zoo staff will share how they use the Fresno Chaffee Zoo as an informal learning classroom and the tips and tricks to kinesthetic learning success. This program focuses on K-6th grade learning outcomes. It will include an introduction to the National Association of Interpretation techniques used at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo and at all National Parks.
