Teaching Best Practices: Enhancing Our Craft
In this course, teachers will learn the essential skills and strategies needed to build strong relationships with students, create a positive and engaging classroom culture, and support student success. Participants will explore the importance of effective organization and time management and learn strategies for streamlining daily tasks and maximizing instructional time. The course will also cover research-based methodologies for creating engaging and effective lessons that support student academic growth and reduce behavior problems. Participants will learn about different assessment strategies and how to provide students with valuable feedback that promotes academic success. The course will also cover the use of educational technology in the classroom and the importance of self-care and strategies to avoid burnout in the profession. Finally, teachers will learn how to identify and support students who struggle academically, including those who may face barriers due to learning disabilities, socio-economic status, language barriers, or mental health issues. By the end of this course, participants will have developed the skills and knowledge needed to create a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters academic and personal growth for all students.
