This 12-week asynchronous course equips educators to design blended learning environments enriched by the purposeful and ethical integration of artificial intelligence (AI). Built on the SBCSS Blended Learning Framework, each module pairs research-based instructional models with AI tools to bring to life the Promising Practices of Blended Learning: Student Engagement, Personalized Learning, Community Building, Digital Citizenship & AI Literacy, Data & Assessment, and Instructional Design. Participants will leverage AI to create and conduct lessons that encompass the SBCSS Blended Learning Framework and promising practices. This course supports California and National Educational Technology Standards (ISTE Standards for Educators) by fostering AI and digital literacy, promoting student agency, and integrating technology to enhance teaching and learning.
