Throughout the year, new teachers and their mentors have the opportunity to attend one Saturday workshop per month and select 2 new 90 minutes sessions.
Over the course of our Saturday workshops, participants will learn strategies to improve classroom management and build content area expertise. The content is designed to directly support Fresno Unified School District's instructional frame, implementation of Common Core State Standards, as well as align to the California Standards for the Teaching Profession. This instructional frame consists of five categories: Presenters will be addressing creating a culture of learning with high expectations, engaging students with challenging content, student ownership for learning, making sure every students' needs are addressed, and demonstrating improvement every day and quantifying that growth with data.
