Designed for TK-12 visual art educators across Fresno County, this interactive Professional Learning Community (PLC) offers a collaborative space to elevate arts instruction, curriculum design, and assessment. Participants will explore grade-appropriate artists and activities, experiment with innovative media within realistic budget and schedule constraints, and network with fellow art educators from across the county.
Throughout the course, educators will participate in lesson-sharing discussion groups, hear from expert guest presenters on cross-disciplinary integration, and learn directly from a panel of local working artists. Additionally, participants will leverage Canva to author and publish a professional art education book to share with peers! By combining hands-on studio exploration (come ready to play!) with current educational research and practical application, teachers will gain actionable tools to enrich their classrooms.
