This professional development course is designed for K12 educators, administrators, and instructional leaders seeking to become certified Artificial Intelligence Educators (AIE). The training will demystify generative AI, focusing on its applications, risks, and potential in education. Participants will learn the core concepts of AI, ethical guidelines, and practical strategies to harness AI for improved teaching, learning, and workflow efficiency.
The course includes interactive activities, real-world scenarios, tool demonstrations, and collaborative discussions. Emphasis is placed on empowering educators to become both 'thermometers' (learners, absorbing and adapting) and 'thermostats' (leaders, setting the climate for AI adoption in schools). Through this training, educators will build confidence in integrating AI meaningfully, ethically, and equitably across grade levels and disciplines.
