This professional development workshop is designed to support educators in analyzing, interpreting, and applying key components of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) to guide instruction and support students with disabilities in grades 7-12. Participants will explore the purpose and structure of IEPs, examine present levels, goals, services, accommodations, and compliance requirements, and learn how to translate IEP information into effective, inclusive instructional practices.
This workshop aligns with state and national special education standards, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and professional standards for special education practice, collaboration, and progress monitoring. The content supports educators in meeting legal, ethical, and instructional responsibilities while promoting access, equity, and meaningful participation for students with disabilities.
