Instructor: Thomas Gober
The goal of TI-Space is to introduce teachers to space weather and how it impacts the radio frequency spectrum, VHF propagation, weather satellites, amateur radio satellites, and radio astronomy. This course will culminate in an overall project of building a dual-dipole antenna array that will receive radio signal emanating from the sun. The array is also capable of capturing radio signals emanating from Jupiter. Capturing weather images from weather satellites and making contacts over amateur radio satellites will continue throughout the course as the opportunities arise.
