Instructor: Thomas Gober
The goal of TI-Remote Sensing is to introduce teachers to the concepts of gathering data from remote sensors and transmitting the data via wireless technology for processing. Teachers will gain knowledge of analog to digital conversion, circuit building, various sensors for gathering weather data (air and water temperature; and barometric pressure), the GPS network and NMEA data, the APRS network, and microcontroller programming. This course culminates in an overall project of building and programming a weather buoy.
