At first I just wanted to jump into the action and not read all the websites and articles, but now I see it was a very important aspect of the class to see exactly what was available out there and learn more about how YouTube can actually be used to help educate. I feel each module built upon the previous and allowed me to have a lot of success in the final project. Plus, the class not only was informative, but it was a lot of fun!

This course pushed me to create videos that will benefit my students and my future self. I learned a ton about how easy it is to create and add features to a YouTube video. Creating channels and adding content was way easier than I ever envisioned. The professor provided meaningful and personalized feedback every time!

I thoroughly enjoyed the YouTube course and found it to be incredibly valuable. One of the aspects I appreciated most was the efficiency and promptness with which the professor graded assignments and provided feedback. This allowed for a continuous and smooth learning experience. The content of the course was well-organized and clearly laid out, making it easy to follow along and grasp the concepts being taught. I particularly appreciated learning practical tools for YouTube, such as how to insert pages and chapters into longer videos. I enjoyed this course immensely, and I have Dr. Westland to thank for it. I learned new skills that will help me produce materials for my ESL community college noncredit students. I am currently teaching online, both with Zoom and with online only courses, so I need to both find and create content to use in my classes. YouTube is an excellent source for discovering pertinent materials, and Dr. Westland showed me excellent ways to quickly find videos that will help my students. In addition, he helped me learn a new, more efficient workflow to make my own videos, and he also showed how to make the videos more meaningful and professional. I plan on taking another course from Dr. Westland.

I'm really happy I took this class and I learned a great deal. I feel much more proficient will all aspects of video creation, editing, and uploading now. The structure and design of the course were intuitive and well thought out. There was no wasted time or "busy work" and all of the projects were useful and relevant. The instructor was responsive, kind, and provided lots of valuable feedback as well. I highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed this class. I have used the bare minium on YouTube and learning about playlists, chapter sections, end screen, et. was really interesting. I will definitely use some of the things I learned in this class in my classroom. Mr. Westland is a great professor! This is the second class I have taken with him and he definitely goes above and beyond. He responded immediately to my questions and really helped me understand the material. I would definitely recommend taking this class!

Great class! I liked the layout and having the assignments listed the way they were. It was easier for me to keep track of what I finished. The only part I didn't like was having to do a video from a recording station because it just isn't applicable to my life or teaching right now.
