This course has really provided me the opportunities to dive into the Google applications more than I have previously. Due to the pandemic I needed to use Google Drive for virtual teletherapy sessions and I really only knew the basics. Most of what I did during that time was share my "document camera" on my desktop so the students could see the worksheets we worked on. Now I can share those more easily and have the students access them with me without needing to share my screen. Sharing my screen would oftentimes make my desktop slower or cause more internet/service connection problems. I am very determined to use these programs more in order to make lessons, activities and materials that my students can use at home for at-home practice to improve carry over skills rather than killing trees and printing out packets every month that never really get touched. I am hoping that by using online applications that will increase my students' engagement and motivation to practice their speech sounds or language skills at home. The most valuable lesson I learned was how easy it is to collaborate with others so in making these resources for my students I want to work with my other SLPs throughout my district so that it can apply to all buildings. This will make things so much easier because I am the only SLP in my building and there are over 8 SLPs, so being able to collaborate throughout different buildings without having to set a time to meet and drive all over the place will really make a difference.

Great course to learn detail about Google Drive. I am not a teacher however as a counselor I found most of the content very helpful for my position. I plan to explore Google more! Linda was wonderful about grading quickly.

I took this Google Drive for Educators to get familiar with the Google apps as they pertain to creating collaborative lessons for my elementary STEM classes. I was not disappointed! The instructors were helpful and gave timely feedback on all the assignments. The tutorials are something I will visit over and over again for intermittent help. With the need for adjusting our lessons to e-Learning opportunities, I have been able to recreate relevant lessons, using what I learned in this class, that can be administered through e-Learning if necessary, allowing the students to still collaborate and create but online!

As an educator, I used Googledocs on a regular basis but did not have much knowledge or experience with all the other Google applications that were available and very useful for my job. This class introduced me to these applications and allowed me to practice, and I find all of them very useful. During the present pandemic, all teachers were required to distance teach so I was very happy I took this class especially at this particular time because I used it often with my kids within Google Classroom. The instructor was very helpful and responded quickly to assignments being turned in and to questions that I had.

This was a fantastic course. My knowledge of Google Drive was practically non-existent prior to taking this course. I now feel like I have a very solid grasp on this suite of office and education programs. I also like knowing that I have a knowledge base on something that my students likely use which would enable me to help them when they are experiencing difficulties completing or submitting assignments. I have thoroughly enjoyed the course...the best part about this class is that I have come away with a few Professional Development workshops that I wanted to plan which will help myself and my staff work more efficiently. As I get older I struggle to keep up with Technology...I can get by but I do things the longer, harder way, figuring it out as I go. Google's platform is similar in concept to the Microsoft Office products in that when you learn how to manipulate and find information you can apply it again in most of their apps. I learned so much during this class! Every assignment was well worth the time I spent on it. Best of all, I have applied everything I've learned directly into my teaching, which has greatly enhanced the learning of my students. I've also been able to help other teachers in my building to communicate with one another more efficiently by sharing the knowledge I've gained with them. Unlike other "virtual education" classes I've taken elsewhere, this class (as well as the others I've taken at Fresno Pacific Univ.), have a helpful, supportive instructor on the "other end" of the line. I can't tell you how great it has been to have had productive communication with an instructor during an online course. I only wish I'd known about the continuing education courses offered online at Fresno Pacific Univeristy before having wasted my time on other online courses, which were boring and completely devoid of any human contact. I'd take another class with Linda in a heartbeat, and have highly recommended this class and others I've taken at FPU to colleagues in my district.
