I learned a tremendous amount about PowerPoint and effective presentations in this course that I did not know about prior to taking. Also, the instructors were very helpful when I was concerned about my PowerPoint version not matching some of the directions in the e-textbook. They were very accommodating and understanding. I truly appreciated their kindness and willingness to work with me as I navigated my way through the course.

Although I learned a lot of strategies and tools that I can easily implement, I did have problems navigating the course with the electronic textbook until I got into a rhythm. I also felt Module 1 was very lengthy, but I think if I would have purchased a paper copy of the text, I would have been able to complete it faster.

This class was outstanding. The textbook is expensive and took a while to arrive, but it produced a VERY detailed approach for those that are not well versed in PowerPoint. Mr. Scott Smith was extremely helpful and very quick to reply when I had issues.

I found this course to be helpful since I have not had to use PowerPoint in over 10 years. While my district is still using the 2013 version, many things have not changed and I feel that this course was a good way to update what I had known from much older versions. I did have a problem with some of the files being corrupted or viewing differently than what the book said, so I recommend downloading the files from the textbook site, which can be found in the introduction section of the textbook. As for the book itself, I thought it was thorough and walked users through the lesson process step by step. Advanced users can probably go to the end of each section and complete the assignments, but beginners or those not familiar with the program will want to go through each lesson. The lessons in each section build on each other nicely. This class did a nice job of bringing me back into the Microsoft world.

The course is designed to teach the mechanics of how PowerPoint works, but also gives the practical methods of how to prepare effective presentations.
