Best class I've ever taken in terms of usability in my classroom. I could immediately implement aspects of every lesson as they were completed. Also the book is such an incredible resource. STEM is being taught by the math & science teachers in my school this upcoming year for the first time ever. The other two teachers have no STEM training at all. I plan to give them each of copy of the textbook (and of course recommend they take this course).

I thoroughly enjoyed the book and the class prompts. I was able to read the book cover to cover and then work through the lessons. Each lesson challenged me to reference back to the book and findings. I appreciate the additional new resources. And I particularly liked the last assignment of reflection. It allowed me to look through the book another time, but after having submitted the other assignments. I was able to highlight the findings I want to use and share with others.

I have been teaching in a STEM or Engineering Tech class for 10 years and I think the course was well intentioned but was more geared towards those just starting out. I wish I had found this course 10 years ago! For me, this course helped refresh my approach to my classes, methods and students. I also found parts of the text more useful than I expected. In the end, I took away some good ideas, some positive reinforcement of my current practice and a good feeling about other teachers out there who are following the STEM path.

STEM 900 was a very good experience for me. I enjoyed learning more about STEM and implementing the lessons into my classroom. Candice Reimer did a very nice job of instructing me in this class. The only problems I came across was with the online class submissions. There were several times I could not submit at the time I wanted to. I had to try several times to upload files and one time I had to copy and paste because it kept kicking my 4 page Word document back.

For a course called "Inspire STEM Learning," you certainly get what you sign up for, as long as you put in the effort. I most enjoyed learning about the successful implementations of STEM from the texts/media and colleagues- it definitely left me inspired. I gave it four stars because I would have liked a little more active involvement/engagement between the instructor and colleagues.

The instructor set up a course that was had a good variety of lesson types which were all focused on inspiring and teaching students how to breathe life into their pedagogy with STEM teaching. The instructor provided insightful and encouraging feedback that was timely and thoughtful. This was one of my favorite courses I've taken through Fresno and will be back for more!
