I enjoyed this class. It provided a low-stakes learning environment where I could be in total control of when I could complete the modules. Had a great journey, this was the most intensive experience of my coursework in writing thus far and at FPU. I may have taken the course too seriously, though. The requirement to submit specialized (generic template but specific to the text) lesson plans was a big ask, but it helped me learn a lot about the writing process. I definitely appreciate the format of the course and the excellent selections made by the instructor in bringing my writing pedagogy game to the plate.

As usual, I loved my class from Fresno Pacific. I received so many great ideas to use in my writing workshop. I would highly recommend distance learning classes because I can work on the materials when I want. I really liked the textbook used in conjunction with this class because it actually had grammar practice sheets as well as samples of good writing that I can reproduce for my students. Personally, this course covers much of what I have been teaching for the past 17 years; however, it did offer some new ideas that I can incorporate. Even though I do not have the ability to apply a writing workshop atmosphere at my current school I was still able to get ideas. I would have liked for the course text to be a bit more versatile and not to just have focused on writers workshop.
