This was a helpful course covering practical ways to help with parent relationships of all kinds. It was especially supportive in providing techniques for dealing with the most challenging parents in our school. I will definitely be using the information learned and referring back to the book as needed.

I found this class very useful to me. It presents tools that once can use, not only to handle conflict, but how to prevent it from happening in the first place. I would recommend it to colleagues.

The book, Dealing With Difficult Parents was a quick read and easy to follow with its oraganization. The course followed the book closely. There were several assignments for each chapter of the book. This course ended up taking up a lot of time. I easily did triple the amount of work that I did in a 3 credit hour course. However, the information was useful in that the book outlined several unique scenarios that a teacher could be faced with and how to wiggle out of it with professional and direct conversation.
