Creativity is one of the most important skills educators can cultivate-yet many teachers and leaders have never been taught a practical process for developing it. In The Creative Thinker's Toolkit, you will discover research-based strategies for generating innovative ideas, solving complex challenges, and creating learning environments where creativity thrives. Drawing on the work of creativity expert Gerard Puccio, this engaging online course explores divergent and convergent thinking, problem clarification, brainstorming techniques, solution development, creative leadership, and innovation-friendly school cultures.

Through hands-on activities, reflection, and real-world applications, you will build a personalized toolkit you can immediately apply in your classroom, school, or district. Course assignments align with National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) and support skills emphasized within the Common Core State Standards. Internet access, email, and basic computer proficiency are required.
