This course will take the teacher through the interactive book 'How to Teach your Children Shakespeare', by Ken Ludwig. You will learn the value of teaching students how to memorize Shakespeare's passages, strategies of memorization, and make social emotional connections for your students with famous themes and characters.This course will give teachers something new and exciting in their toolbag! Using both sides of the brain for memorization practices, you will be able to confidently teach your elementary students the value of Shakespeare's works.

NOTE: Required book must be acquired separately.

I have a BA in English and an MA in Theatre. My Masters Thesis explored California’s Visual and Performing Arts Standards. My teaching experience includes third-fifth grade elementary, Beginning Acting Instructor at San Jose State University, and Artist-in-Residence Teacher through San Joaquin County for K-8 Theatre and Improvisation. I taught Speech, Storytelling, and Improvisation for 5-8th graders for three years in Tracy, CA. I acted professionally in Los Angeles and love to inspire others to explore how theatre can be life-changing!
