The course was enjoyable and I learned quite a few things. The background as to why the IQ test definitely stands out and this class helped me have a better understanding of why my students do what they do. The professor was also very friendly, helpful, and professional.

It was helpful to review the entire course in order to complete the final project. My main take-away is to consider how I can continue to inspire current and future students in their own personal learning journey. This involves helping them find subjects that are interesting to them and then to help them build competence in these areas with giving structure, monitoring their work, and providing immediate feedback. This course also helped me personally to consider my own motivations for learning and my desire to continue to take on new ways to learn as I get older. Specifically, working with Duolingo to learn Italian for an upcoming trip.

This course has been such a great refresher of the basic tenets of learning and has deepened my understanding of what the brain can do tremendously. I have been teaching for almost ten years now, so this course was such a great refresher on the concepts you learn as you are introduced to the field of education. I also learned new research that will really impact my teaching going forward. I have taken away information on how to help my students with motivation, accuracy, and much more!

Make sure you look at the final project at the beginning of the course, that way you can work on it as you go through the lessons and it will be more beneficial to you than trying to recall the huge amount of information presented to you throughout the course!
