Though I enjoyed some of the projects, I found many of the methods to be outdated. I also found the grading to be very frustrating. Though I was praised for most of my assignments, I was also docked points without any explanation.

While I learned a little bit from a few of the assignments in this course, this course desperately needs updating. There is no real choice given to the student of this course to present an elementary art lesson that they may be particularly interested in teaching. All of the 20 experiences must be completed exactly as described and some of them are archaic. There are so many amazing elementary art projects now that should have replaced many if not most of the assignments completed for this course.

The course offered many ideas of art projects elementary students could do that highlighted students' unique abilities. However, the projects in this course were not projects that could be done quickly and did require attention to detail. Professor Faison was easy to contact, responded to questions in a quick manner, and offered feedback on all assignments.

I thoroughly enjoyed this class. Creating the art experiences allowed me to productively utilize many opportunities for my elementary students. Especially during this difficult time with COVID 19 widespread, I felt the experiences were almost therapeutic and will be very beneficial to helping my students boost self-esteem and a pride of accomplishment. I really enjoyed the experiences in this class, but I felt that 15 experiences would have been plenty - or the class should be worth 4 CEUs, rather than 3 CEUs for 20 projects. The instructor was awesome and very supportive, I enjoyed having her as an instructor. I would take a class again just to have her as an instructor.

An enjoyable class, I highly recommend it. The projects can be adapted to your subject or to learning units. Each project will make a child feel important and that he/she does belong in the class-group. Students will be learning new art skills and ways to make their creative juices flow! (and so will you!)

This is a five star class for teachers who want to build their students self-esteem through elementary art. I learned a great deal about how to think creatively and "out of the box." I no longer feel incapable of creating successful art projects. I gained a new perspective on how to create beautiful things with my own hands and mind. This course built my self-esteem too!

I found the class to be quite interesting, and challenging, perhaps because it was out of my subject area. However, it was a good stretch.
