I did not find this class useful in my current classroom. I found the assignments a bit rigid and wished they were a bit more flexible or open ended.

This class was fun, but it required too much time and resources. I am a teacher, and I know that the time required to make these bulletin boards was not realistic at all and the materials needed costed more than any teacher should have to spend into materials for just bulletin boards.

I liked the idea of this class - being prompted to try new bulletin board ideas that I can create and use in my classroom. The course ended up being not very applicable, as many of the boards and letters required to be made were too specific/didn't leave room for freedom to adapt to what would work in my class. The sheer amount of work is also far more demanding than any other online course I've taken.

This course was fun and enjoyable! I was able to let my creative side out, and it was really refreshing because I needed a break from writing college leveled papers. I discovered many bulletin board ideas that could be useful for my classroom. Jill Faison is great getting back with you in a timely manner.

The class was not what I expected and I found that it wasn't fully beneficial to my position as a teacher. It would have been fantastic if the required projects could have fit the needs of my role and allowed for more flexibility. It would also be very helpful if this class incorporated 21st century skills and allowed for the use of technology.

This course gave me so many great ideas for bulletin boards and creating letters. Loved the haunted house. Jill answered all of my questions and was always a great help! The only reason I gave 4.5 instead of 5 is because some material seemed a little dated and I think the ability to use technology with this course would have allowed so much more creativity. Thank you so much!!

Creating the bulletin boards was so much fun. The only aspect that I did not like about the class was that we had to use specific templates for the projects. Being an art class I think the freedom to create the bulletin boards however you see fit would make more sense.

I ended up with some very cute bulletin boards and the instructor was prompt in grading assignments. The course seems a bit out of date, not using resources that are available now that may not have been when the assignments were created.

This course was a lot of work but the work was enjoyable. The projects are useful and the activities are things that can be used with elementary students of all ages. I think that having the students take ownership in some of the crafting would be especially fun and beneficial. I would definitely be willing to take another course offered by this instructor in the future.

This course requires A LOT of paper and cutting. I highly recommend you take this course if you have access to multiple colore of butcher block paper as well as construction paper. A good pair of scissors is also a must!

I truly enjoyed the process of creating the bulletin boards for this course. The projects were fun to complete, and the end results are quite pleasing. It will be most effective for students to read through the course before purchasing items. Taking the time to plan each project makes a better use of your time than working on a project, getting half way though, and then realizing you still need materials. I recommend this course for anyone who is looking for unique and interesting ways to add fun to their teaching space.

This was a fun and worthwhile experience. Being able to work at my own pace made the final outcome more beneficial. I could see spending an entire year on this and spreading out the work, however I needed to condense the class and complete it in several weeks. I was busy, but the workload was manageable.

I would have liked there to have been a little more freedom, as far as not having to use stencils for everything. Being an art teacher it was a little restrictive having to do everything through patterns. Just a thought.

I found the Continuing Education class, Bulletin Boards/Rm Environments K-8, to be a wonderful class!! The assignments were so much fun to complete and in the end I have an entire year's worth of bulletin board materials for my classroom. It's exciting to have all of these pieces of art ready to go and each year I can expand on them. Once again Professor Jill Gomas Faison has done it, she has created an awesome course! It's a comprehensive course that assists anyone (even if you aren't artistically inclined) in dressing up and brightening up their classroom environment.
